Which Laptop Brand The Best?

“Which model is the best?” “What laptop brand are you using?” These are the most frequently asked questions when my friends want to buy laptop.

What is your answer for the question? Apple? HP? Oh…I always suggest friend to buy DELL or HP. Now I felt guilty when saw the Malfunction Rate Graph :(

HP Laptop is Good?

According to SquareTrade report, HP hit the highest malfunction rate for laptop more than 3 years. Which mean you have one quarter of chances to return back HP laptop for repair after 3 years. Acer even better than it.

No doubt ASUS at first place but Toshiba surprise me when its name at second place. I should say other than the old fashion design, the quality is good. Now I would change the answer when people ask me.

For me, I’ll still prefer Apple MacBook, will get one very soon. How about you? What laptop are you using?

I’ve been using Dell for 2 years and in my opinion it is one of the best laptop manufacturers. I’ve never had problems with it.

I have a Toshiba and I’m not really satisfied with that. It is my second Toshiba and both were getting extremely hot really fast. maybe there is something wrong with the coolers they use.

I use Dell Inspiron 6400. Already 3 years and no hardware problem. My laptop runs nearly 20+ hrs a day, 7 days a week. Now the battery is gone and the fan is noisy. Other than that, its still good.

I think is Brand of HP Laptop is better for me. Although, I have never hought or use any laptop before. According to the market research, I trust HP more then Sony, Dell, Acer. Now, I am using Acer PC home based Computer.

    5. Apple Says:

Working in the warranty department, I receive more HP and Acer notebooks. These two brands, I definitely won’t intro my friends. As for Dell, I suggest end user to purchase it directly from its official website, rather than buying from any reseller, because the after sales service you can get from a reseller is very limited (better deal with Dell yourself).

I’d suggest Toshiba for its lower malfunction rate. However, my notebook is BenQ, I have been using it since 2007, and it’s still working fine. Doesn’t mean that BenQ is good. I’d have to say it’s luck.

Sony is a bit over price (but its design is nice). For Apple..I’d love to have my hands on it someday, but not too recent, as I’m not a Mac user and I can’t afford it at the moment.

HP has got to be the worst laptop I have ever owned. It overheats and the computer just literally falls apart over time. I currently own an Asus and it’s awesome.

    7. Sandra Says:

I don’t know what’s with that bad press for HP laptops. It’s true that many of their stuff is rubbish (printers!) but so far I haven’t got any problems with my HPs, and now I use my third one. Maybe I’m just lucky. I didn’t experience any heating problems at all.

    8. Making A Will Says:

I really have had a great experience with our laptop made by Toshiba. My old Satellite Pro was one of theirs, too. Had great support and everything worked right first time. I would recommend them.

Indeed, HP sucks BIG TIME. My experience with HP Pavilion DV2-1003AX was the dark time of my life. I got rid of the laptop by selling it mud cheap. The laptop is EXTREMELY slow, defective, overheat = SUCKS!!!

    10. Kelly Watson@Handbag Boutique Says:

Do not EVER use MSI. Me and my brother cracked our brains trying to start this freaking recovery software on U120. It just didnt work. And as for wi-fi drivers – WIndows 7 is not supported. Can u imagine a netbook without wi-fi? Me neither. To the trash can.

I bought a gateway and it wasn’t working at all in 2 years and took very good care of it. My second laptop which i got about 3 months ago is a mac and so far I have loved very few problems and so user friendly! love it

All laptop brands are good. What makes the difference is the model and family. I find Acer a good brand, their laptops don`t cost a lot and the the hardware is good. You can have the luck to buy a model that will “survive” for 2 years without problems, which is good because after 2 years any laptop has made it`s price. But you can be unlucky and buy a laptop that won`t work after 6 months.
Now i have a Lenovo laptop and i am very pleased. The 2 year guarantee is more than enough for me. I had to choose between Lenovo and Hp at that time. Lenovo had 3 GB DDR3 RAM and a better processor. Hp had 3 gb DDR2 and 1 year guarantee, the price was the same. If you want my advice: choose between Toshiba and Dell. They are good brands. If you have money for MAC you should consider buying a Sony Vaio, very good brand that costs more than other laptop brands, but definitely is worth the money.
