Is it Worth to Upgrade OS X Lion ?

I’m worrying my blog is dying soon if not update now. So what topic to talk about? Of course is the so-called “Most Advanced Operating System” in the Universe, not only World – The Mac OS X Lion!

I’m using Mac OS X Leopard for nearly 2 years and very satisfied with it. Frankly I seldom shutdown my Mac, except apply update and low battery. Other than that, I may shutdown or restart once every 2-3 months to refresh the system. From here you know how stable is this Leopard OS. :)

Mac App Store is now selling OS X Lion (The new desktop King) at $29.99. Now the question is it worth for the upgrade?

Unbox Apple MacBook White 2009

The MacBook White 2009 arrived at home yesterday morning, right before I head to work. Without wait a second more, unbox it and bring along to work. :)

I placed order on Saturday > order confirmed on Monday > MacBook shipped out (from Singapore) on Tuesday > Received on Thursday. Whole process took 4 business days. Overall I’m satisfied with the delivery speed since it include air shipment.

Basically it is a tiny thin box. Items included are MacBook White, MagSafe Power Adapter, Plug Extension, Installation DVD and Manual. That’s it. Don’t ask for free bag or extra free gifts ok. :) (more…)

Mac OS X Desktop Screen

I know you have read my post on run Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5 on Intel PC computer. Some of you might doubt how I manage to do that? Some friends even write email and sms me on this.

Others leave comment that I telling lie. One said I just playing MAC OS X boot up screen from a Windows computer. Well, I’m not arguing who right and wrong. But to tell my sincere readers that this is NOT impossible at all.

To prove it, I show you my CPU specifications below. See? I’m running Mac Pro on Intel Pentium Dual CPU. Have you seen any Mac running on this old processor? This mean I’m running it on Clone PC, for testing purpose.

Run Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5 on Intel PC

Finally, I’ve install and run Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5 successfully on my Intel PC computer! Yes, you didn’t hear it wrong. I Run Mac OS X on normal Intel Dual core processor base (clone pc).

Why I try so hard to install Mac OS X on Intel? Just for educational purpose. Wish to review Mac OS X but no chance. None of my friend using Mac OS X. No choice have to setup and try it out myself.

Of course I’m not encourage to use pirated or hacked software. Please support and use genuine software if you want to use it long term.

MAC OS X Leopard Welcome Screen

Now, let’s see the amazing welcome screen after success the Leopard X installation. It is 10 times better than Windows welcome screen.

My first impression on Mac OS X Leopard: The graphics from small icon to wallpaper is awesome. OS performance is above my expectation. Thanks to the Uphuck team and bass2k8 to make it possible. (more…)
