An open source tool called TrueCrypt let you encrypt files and encrypt an entire partition or storage device. This mean we can encrypt our USB flash drive and hard disk. Others can’t even open or boot up the system if it is stolen. Further more, its software version available for Windows, Mac OS, and of course Linux. Yeah! it’s Free!
How Encryption Works ?
Basically it works almost the same with password locker. It use some advance algorithms bind with your password to hide or mess up your data. Without the password to decrypt, those data are useless. In this case, TrueCrypt is using 3 types of encryption algorithm AES-256, Serpent, and Twofish.
