Easy Way to Sign Symbian S60 Unsigned Application

Have you install SymSMB app successfully on your Symbian phone? You have to sign an unsigned application before you can install it on your Symbian S60 phone.

How to sign an app? You need to do a one time job with few installation and clicks. But don’t worry, it is easy to follow as long as you read carefully.

  • Download BiNPDA Security Manager package ~670kb (include 4 files: RootSign.exe, Secman.exe, S60_3_0*.sisx, S60_3_1*.sisx)
  • Double click SecMan.exe and install on your computer. This program allows you to install future “Unsigned” releases, without signing them every time.
  • Connect your phone via USB cable to computer, install s60_3_0_app_trk_2_8_6.sisx into your Symbian phone. (Of course make sure you have PC Suite installed) (more…)

Synchronize Symbian Mobile Wireless [How to]

Snap photo and play music is basic features in my Nokia N82. But it always tedious need a USB cable to transfer photos and music files. I use both home and office computer. Don’t say bring cable along, I don’t want to become cable guy.

After research, I found there is way to make Nokia N82 work like iPod touch. It can be synchronize with desktop computer without wire!

Telexy Networks SymSMB

You need this app called SymSMB from Telexy Networks to enable folder sharing on your Symbian phone. I expect you have already read my post “Transfer files to iPod touch wirelessly“. It is almost the same concept, so I don’t need to explain much.

You may download and purchase the license with a small fee for genuine version. If not, search for “unsigned” version in forums. After installation, your Symbian mobile phone is just like another computer in your network. You can share folders, map folders, access files, copy files easily. All done via wireless connection.
