Are you Advertlets victim?

If you are one of the Advertlets publisher, I am sure you are one of the victim during the Advertlets domain name expired incident whereby all traffic to Advertlets.com has been redirect to the domain renewal page.

When I check my blog on last Saturday night ( about 9.15pm), my blog main page loading half way and auto redirect to the domain renewal page as screenshot below. At first, I thought this was cause by spyware on the computer, but when I read carefully on the redirected link, I suspect it was due to the Advertlets code. Without delay, I login my blog and remove the Advertlet code directly form my sidebar widget. It just work fine after that! :)

Josh Lim, the co-founder of Advertlets admit and apologize for the “domain renewal mistake“. He claimed that:

A complication in the renewal process caused the Advertlets.com domain to expire, and caused issues for bloggers with our ads installed, which made their blogs redirect to a placeholder page. (more…)

For all Advertlets publishers, please be aware of click fraud penalty !

Recently there are few Advertlets publishers' account has been temporary suspended or disabled due to dishonest click on Advertlets advertisement. If you noticed, Advertlets just upgrade their click fraud detection engine from beta 1.5 to beta 1.75. With this upgrade, (more…)
