He bought it in Japan. That was the time when films are used. Looking back to the quality of the photos, I am amazed how clear the photos were and the flash was great. It is also durable. It's a very nice entry level SLR camera. In the future, you may consider buying a prime lens 35mm DX for low light shooting. The photo quality will be slightly better and clearer.
