Simple reason, because the domain isn't used official for any business. It's basically like the case last time of VISA.com.my. So if these people think they're gonna get a million bucks thrown at them, they're also open to a million bucks lawsuit later. :P Anyway, besides mum.my, yum.my, ar.my and etc...there aren't a lot of words ending with MY. LOL! Although they may have registered Google.my I believe if Google wishes to purchase it, they can. Simple reason, because the domain isn’t used official for any business.
