No jokes! Received email from MBF Cards for latest XtremeDeals promotion. Buy a XD 42″ Full HD LCD TV or 40″ Full HD LCD TV and you get a free 8D/7N Holidays for up to 4 persons!

You may choose your free overseas holiday stay from 200 resorts across 30 countries. Have you ever dream of family holiday in blue seas of Bahamas or barbecue in Australia? Or try a boat trip in Koh Samui or Balinese massage in Bali? The XtremeDeals give it out for Free. :)

Crazy offer isn’t it? Anyway, all “Good” deals always come with “Terms and Conditions“.
The offer is only provide accommodation of your choice. You have to arrange your own meals, transport, travel insurance,etc. Some resort might charge you for extra guest. So better read it carefully (or check with MBF Cards) before buy it.

For those who really want a HD LCD TV and break for holidays, it still a good deal to consider. Because most of our travel fee goes to accommodation and the deal cover for us.

HD LCD TV Deals

There are 2 HD LCD TV to choose: XD 42-inches and Samsung 40-inches brand. The LCD TV specifications as below:

Samsung 40″ Full HD: 40″ screen, Contrast Ratio: 40,000:1, Response Time: 5ms, HDMI input: 3 (RM4599 @ RM191.63×24 months)

XD 42″ Full HD: 42″ screen, Contrast Ratio: 8000:1, Response Time: 6.5ms, HDMI Input: 2 (RM3599 @ RM149.96×24 months)

The prices are RM1000 difference. So what make so huge difference? Other than its screen size, Samsung has extra 5x contrast ratio than XD. Which mean Samsung LCD TV will clearer and smoother.

My two cents

LCD TV is getting cheaper nowadays. I remember my colleague bought his first 32″ branded LCD TV for nearly RM5000 during promotion! Now it is selling at RM2000 plus everywhere.

So should I buy a LCD TV? No. Why? First, I’m satisfied with my old 29″ CRT TV. Second, I not even switch on TV for more than 10 times in a year. So why buy? :) Do you have LCD TV at home? Do you like the qu

      TV is not so useful for some of us nowadays.Maybe a 21 inch LCD wide screen monitor would be more favorable.
