It is simply the best Linux to use for Windows users to switch to and ease their way into the Linux world. It is cheap, but certainly not nasty, and there is a wide support base. The other alternative that is more expensive is to get a Mac. Personally I run a Mac, however my old PC has Ubuntu installed. It is though constantly powered down awaiting some inspiration to use it once more. Perhaps when I move to a new house and get a study/test lab once more.
