Free Text SMS Software

Although we are in 3G world, I don’t really see many people fully utilise it. It is sad to say that tech is changing too fast than human can follow. Most of the friends I know still using old age text SMS. Are you one of them?
I believe some of you might say it is so cheap to text SMS-ing. Some Telco charge $0.01 for a message within friend and family list. I know it does not mean anything, but how about text SMS to overseas? Yes, this mean something to me. I still remember when I send a text SMS in Shanghai (global roaming) cost me $2 per SMS! Send 10 greetings SMS easily cost $20. I don’t think it is affordable and worth for many of us here.
Free Text SMS
I recall few years back, there is one similar free SMS service but not available anymore. Now, txtbuddies is one of the free SMS provider.
To use txtbuddies, just launch to its sign up page, take 2 minutes to register. Fill in the form accordingly, especially your mobile phone number in International format. On last step, wait for the verification code send to your mobile phone and enter into the verification field.
In order to send free SMS to your loves one, friends or family, make sure invite them to register as member too. I have tested the SMS respond speed. It works perfectly fast! Received test message within seconds.

To send bulk SMS, you can also manage your contact list in group. How about use it as a tool for mobile text marketing? Don’t abuse such a nice and free facility.
Benefit of Free SMS
Of course the first benefit is Free! When you send SMS, txtbuddies will add in sponsored ads behind. This make your SMS free. Also, there will be a short video ads play before you could send out the SMS.
Second benefit is it has worldwide coverage for up to 192 countries and 663 mobile operators. In Malaysia, they include 4 mobile operators: Celcom, Digi, Maxis, and U Mobile. So, why pay for SMS-ing?
Tips: Firefox might not able to run the web based txtbuddies, launch in your IE (Internet Explorer), unfortunately.

txtbuddies works perfectly with Firefox (all versions), IE (all versions), Opera (all versions) Safari (latest version).
The general rule of thumb is “if Flash 9 plays in the browser, txtbuddies will operate perfectly…”

@iCalvyn: You reminded me the name now.
@Alistair: But somehow it just doesn’t work with my Firefox 2 & 3.

The issue is not txtbuddies … rather your implementation of the Flash as an add-on for Firefox.
Suggest you uninstall your current version of Flash 9 (or whatever version) and do a reinstallation from within Firefox.
You can get it from this link:

And … I am running 3.0.2 of Firefox and it works just fine … as does Google Chrome.
Our other product Office Buddies (www.myofficebuddies.com) also works perfectly with all these browsers.
