The new hot awaiting OS: Microsoft Windows 7 beta is now available for free download. Beta testers should be able to answer how the new Windows perform.
Talk about Windows 7, we all doubt on its statement in my previous post. Anyway, Microsoft claim they listen to us for the past few years and build the new Windows 7 faster, more reliable and easier to do what you want. Download, setup and try out Windows 7 at your own should answer you up to certain extend.
Before heading to the download page, let’s check out the minimum recommended specs:
- CPU: 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
- RAM: 1 GB of system memory
- HDD: 16 GB of available disk space
- Graphic card: Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory (to enable the Aero theme)
- DVD-R/W Drive
- Internet access (to download the Beta and get updates)
If your computer meet the minimum requirements, then heading to the Microsoft Official Windows 7 download page. Register yourself as Beta tester and download the DVD ISO. It should provide you an activation key to activate your Windows 7 evaluation copy. Although there are lots of leaked BT download, I still recommend to download from Microsoft Official latest build release (Of course, try at your own risk).

Frankly, Windows 7 does not attract me at all except the “Multi-Touch” technology. Just curious how well Microsoft Multi-Touch perform compare to iPod touch? Of course you need a touch screen to benefit this feature. The Surface technology looks better than Apple Multi-Touch. What do you think?

Too lazy to install Windows 7 as I just removed my Windows Vista for Windows XP. But I’ll definitely try it when it’s finalized.
Hi, I’m a Linux user and don’t see why would I test that OS of s**t. Sorry for my vulgarity but I won’t test their s**t to improve it and sell it too expensive. I won’t be their guinea-pig. Thanks
need to prepare a machine, and try out this windows 7 already
Linux user be afraid, very afraid window 7 is going to wipe you out.
will see
behold the windows 7 is coming
Windows 7 is more than likely going to be the new XP. It works very well and is very reliable. If the beta is this reliable, imagine how well the release will run.
thankeyou
ok lets begin
After using Windows 7 for about a year now, I can say that it is leaps and bounds better than XP (I won’t even mention Vista). Even though I’ve also been using linux for years, I’d have to say Windows 7 is better.
