Since then Paypal withdraw didn’t accept American Express and Master Card. Well, in fact we are not encouraged to withdraw Paypal money to credit card because they charge RM20 ($7 USD) for service fee and need to wait 5-7 days!

Withdraw Paypal money to Bank Account has become so easy and most importantly it can be done without cost. Yes, we can withdraw Paypal money to any bank in Malaysia without a service fee! ;)

How Paypal Withdraw to Bank Account ?

Login to Paypal account, click “Withdraw” tab then select “Withdraw to your bank account“. Click “Add Bank Account” then fill up your bank details carefully. You should key in your real name, Bank name, MEPS bank routing code and Account Number. Refer to “Details” link for your MEPS bank routing code or call up your bank to confirm.

Once your Bank Account is ready, click “Currency Converter” to check the exchange rates and decide how much you want to withdraw in USD. Withdrawal less than RM400 ($132 USD) will be charge RM3 cheap service fee.

I’ve monitor Paypal exchange rate for a month and manage to withdraw fund at exchange rate 3.05015 (USD to MYR)! It is not the highest but consider good rate in the pass one month.:) Now wait 2-3 business days for processing.

My Two Cents

After 2 days I notice the withdrawal status change from Pending to Completed! Yeah! But why I don’t see the amount debit into my Bank Account?

I believe it has successfully reach the bank headquarter but haven’t route into my bank account. Now I pray and hope it arrive safely tomorrow! ;)

The second day after I initiate Paypal withdrawal to bank account, the transaction status change from “pending” to “completed”. But actually the fund is not in local bank yet.

Fast Paypal Customer Support

I checked with Paypal on my transaction status. Paypal respond me within an hour, said that they only can initiate trace of the transaction if I didn’t receive it after 14 days. I’m satisfied with fast Paypal customer service.

Basically the status tell us it has been transferred to the bank. Now depends the bank to credit into local bank which normally take 3 business days.

Confirm Received Paypal Money

I checked with bank again today. The fund has been transferred successfully into my bank account without a single cent loss! Yeah, I’m now little bit richer than yesterday ;)

Further, the process fee is FREE if you withdraw more than RM400.

Before it support local bank, I used to transfer Paypal money to VISA credit card. It charged $5 (USD) per transaction that enough me go for a comfort dinner.

Add Malaysia Local Bank and Withdraw Fund

  1. First you need local bank account information. Then login Paypal > “My Account” > “Profile” > “Add/Edit bank Account“.
  2. Key in your bank account info accordingly. Make sure the MEPS bank routing code is correct (click “Details” to check). Finally, click “Add Bank Account” and you are done!
  3. The withdrawal process is straight forward too. Select “Withdraw to Bank Account“, key in amount and withdraw. Noticed that the currency is slightly lower than market price.

Wait 2-3 business days for process and check your bank account. Paypal will charge RM3.00 for transaction less than RM400, which is also quite cheap.

My Two Cents

For Paypal Business account like me, you need to downgrade to Premier account first. Write an email to Paypal support their respond are extremely fast. (No surname, last name field when add Bank account for Business type)

With first email to request and second to confirm, I’m now on Premier account. Once add in CIMB Bank account, I requested a withdrawal of $300 USD (~ RM983).

Wish the money arrive in bank safely after 3 days. Will let you know when I receive the first Paypal payment in local bank account. ;)

PS: Take note transaction failed due to incorrect information might cost you RM15. Withdraw fund to credit card require a fee of $5 USD.

As usual, I withdraw my Adsense payment via Western Union in CIMB bank. Google Adsense payment issue at the right time. I manage to withdraw money with exchange rate USD to RM at 3.587. It is the highest exchange rate in my experience.

If you remember, I made Paypal transfer few days ago. Since it is already 5 working days, I call to my card center to verify the payment. The bank customer service said I spend money from credit card, not credit to credit card! Panic…Let’s see our conversation.

After verify my information..the lady ask

Customer Service: Hi Sir, How can I help you?

AhTim: I want to check my VISA card balance.

(Been waiting for ~ 5 minutes)

Customer Service: Hello Sir, Thanks for waiting. I saw a transaction $215 USD in the card.

AhTim: OK, Please help to transfer the balance from VISA to my MASTER card.

Customer Service: Sorry Sir, it is a transaction, we can’t transfer the “transaction”.

AhTim: I’ve made phone call to call center before I made the transfer. Your colleague said it can be manage without any charges?

Customer Service: No, we can’t transfer the “transaction”.

AhTim: Then why your colleague said No Problem?

Customer Service: We only can transfer “Credit”, Not “transaction”

AhTim: ?? You are right. I want to transfer my “Credit” from VISA to MASTER card to pay off my outstanding balance.

Customer Service: But this is a “transaction”, Not “Credit”.

AhTim: What? You mean I spend $215 USD from my VISA card??

Customer Service: Yes.

(Surprise me. I thought I have press any wrong button in Paypal!!)

AhTim: No. I transfer the money from Paypal, an Internet banking service to my VISA card. It is a “Credit”.

Customer Service: ??..Is this a Credit?..Please let me check it out. Can give me your handphone number? I’ll call you back.

AhTim: (I give her my handphone number and wait for the call)

After 3 minutes…

Customer Service: Hello Mr, I found the amount is Credit. So what you want me to do?

AhTim: Please transfer the money from VISA to MASTER card.

Customer Service: OK, after the payment still has extra. The extra will be show in your next statement.

Actually I’ve summarize our conversation. Seems we confuse the term “transaction” and “credit”. At first she keep saying “transaction” and I thought is credit. Can’t understand why she can’t transfer the credit. After only I know she thought the amount is not a credit. How can she interpret it as debit? Is it system problem? So hard to identify between spend and credit?…

Anyway, it is worthy. Why? Because Paypal transfer fund to VISA credit card at 1 USD to RM 3.622 !! First ever highest exchange rate in my life!

It is my first time to receive so much money I make online. At the same day, with high exchange rate. So I say today is a Good Friday to Receive Money! ;) Can you guess how I use the Adsense money this time?

After a year of blogging, I have make some online money from text link ads too. The money payment via Paypal is so common. It has reach certain amount. I decided to transfer my Paypal money to VISA credit card to pay off the balance.

How to Transfer Paypal Money ?

It is quite straight forward. Login to Paypal account, click “Withdraw” tab and “Transfer fund to your card“. Add in your credit or debit card with VISA logo. (Paypal accept ATM card too, but can’t accept my BSN ATM card)

Last year, Paypal accept Master card but now only accept VISA. I didn’t notice that until today. Do you know why? Fortunately, I have a VISA credit card too. :)

Put in required credit card or debit card information. Add it in and continue to transfer fund page. You may check the amount in your local currency using the currency converter. Don’t forget it charge $5 USD for each transaction. It also limit to $500 USD transfer daily.

So, if you need to use $100 then you need to transfer out $105. Only then you will receive total of exact amount of $100 after $5 service charge deduction.

I have request to transfer total of $220 USD into my VISA card. After $5 service fee, left $215 USD. The status show “Pending” for process. Have to wait at least 5-7 days to complete.

My two cents

Initially I wanted to transfer Paypal money to Master card, not VISA. But Paypal only accept VISA now. It is better to have Master card for more flexibility. I think the transaction fees of $5 is acceptable. Save our time to go bank.

Of course I din’t transfer out all my Paypal money. Still keep some inside for web hosting related expenses next year. Hope to receive the payment in my VISA card soon. And pay off my Genting trip booking to celebrate my 5th wedding anniversary this year end! ;)

The letter mentioned that Paypal has upgraded its system and ask me to update my information.

By looking at it, it look exactly the same format with normal Paypal email. Before I click on the link to update my information, I noticed 2 weird things.

First is on its email address. The email address from paypal@alert.com which is not originated from paypal.com. Second thing is on its link. When I point my cursor to the link, my firefox (fortunately Firefox show link url, IE not) show it is pointing to paypale.co.cc which is also not original paypal official website.

The Prove of Phishing Website

Hence, I doubt on its request.I did a whois search on Domain Tools and found the website url co.cc is a free domain register for blog! This mean it is just a free blog service provider. Someone has registered it and make it a phishing or scam website.

I do a search search the email address in Google, it links me to PhishTank and showed it is 100% confirmed phish website. I browse to its mainpage, it does not show anything but a few paragraphs of French words (took me minutes to try an error on Google translate to search for its original language :) ). The content to inform the own of this website of its FTP account has been sent to his email.

After confirmed it is a phishing website, I click on “report as phishing” to hotmail. Fortunately I do not logon to their websit. If not they got my password and my Paypal’s earnings gone! Just to remind you, becareful when login to those bank account. Make sure it is an official website before you login! ;)
