The mobile space has been experiencing exponential success for years now, and the mobile phone is currently the most successful and most popular gadget I can think of. The cool thing right now is that a new trend is starting; which is that of most people starting to rely on their mobile phones completely. In fact, there is a survey stating that, in some countries, over 70% of internet users access the internet using their mobile phones alone. As someone who specializes in mobile internet plans, that looks stunning, and is a sign that more people should start designing their business to capitalize on mobile visitors.

Consider Your Bandwidth Usage First

While it is natural to think that the first step to take when trying to choose a mobile ISP is to visit a mobile service provider and inquire about their services, it is probably the last step you should take. The first step you should take, instead, should be to consider your bandwidth usage; most people pay several times the amount they are supposed to pay for mobile internet access every month, and the reason for this is simple; they are paying for bandwidth they don’t need.

Make sure you accurately calculate the bandwidth you will be using each month, and then use it to determine which ISP plan you should go for.

Only Go with an ISP that has a Proven Track Record

Once you’ve determined the plan you want to go for based on the kind of bandwidth you use every month, the next step you should take is to make sure you only go for an ISP with proven track record. Don’t just go with a new ISP that is making the rounds in the news without proper research. A lot of new ISPs spring forth and go viral, only to go bankrupt a few years later. The best way to ensure the quality of your service and ensure you don’t get scammed and ignored is by going for an ISP with proven track record. In most cases these ISPs have been in existence for decades, and in the case of new ISPs they will usually have a stronger backing.

Look for a Way to Test the Service You Want to Use, if Possible

Another option some ISPs have is the option to test-drive the service you want to use, and if you’re provided with this option it is important not to ignore it. Make sure you look for a way to test the service you want to use, maybe from a friend, or from the ISP you plan to use directly. By having a real time experience of how a service you want to use is you will be able to determine if it is really right for you.

Make Sure You are Presented with a Flexible Payment Plan

The final option is your payment plan; make sure you are presented with a simple and flexible payment plan, and always read the terms of service that comes with your payment agreement because a lot of things are often hidden between the fine prints. Don’t sign any contract agreement unless you’re pretty sure of what you’re signing up to.

To compare, I did a speed test at Speedtest.net and check how fat is my internet speed. The download is 850kbps and upload 38kbps! Ok, this is 20 times slower than 4G LTE network.

It is slow but fair as my package is just 1mbps download and 384kbps upload. When can we have at least 50% of the 4G LTE speed?

As conclusion, Yes, a so call cable Internet is not as fast as mobile Internet!
