In 2011, Google published 471 posts, which is 17 more than 2010. The company’s main blog saw 19,905,679 unique visitors between January 1 and December 31, 2011.

The post that saw the most traffic was one that recognized the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001 with 1,731,280 unique page views. And this post was linked to from Google’s search portal, which helped draw increased traffic.

In contrast, on Twitter, @Google now has 4 million followers, with the most popular Tweets in 2011 including those on patents and Android, the Motorola acquisition, Larry and Sergey remembering Steve Jobs, Google Wallet, Google+ and Wael Ghonim.

There are few tips we learn here.

First, Google published more than a post daily! This is an efficient way to keep your blog up-to-date and easy to be search by Google search engine.

Second, a link from search portal brought lots of traffic. It is easy to comment, guest blog or purchase quality link from other blog in same industry.

Third, it fully utilize Tarantula Networking method. All social networking and product pages link readers back to the blog! Don’t underestimate the power of Twitter, Facebook.

Don’t always use the most popular terms as you have to compete with hundreds or thousands of high traffic website. Pick a lower keyword (less competition) to compete at beginning stage.

Google Buzz is a new social media tool just launched to connect friends by using Gmail.

You should see the “Buzz” button in side menu after inbox. You could linked buzz to other sites such as Twitter, Blogs, BlogSpot, Youtube, etc. Add what you want to share in “view connected sites”. I myself added in Twitter and AhTim Tech Blog. Which mean whenever activity in twitter and blog, it create post in Buzz to share with my followers.

You may convert your Gmail friends to your blog reader with Buzz. I’m now have 7 followers, and it automatically following 14 people.

Integrate into WordPress Blog

To increase even more traffic, you need to integrate Google Buzz button into blog. The Google Buzz plugin add a buzz button on every page / post. When visitor click on the button, your post’s link and title share on their buzz. In this way you post may reach their friends too, and increase traffic by huge amount.

I’m here introduce a tactic called “Tarantula Networking”. Tarantula has many legs but with only a body. Same goes to blogging tactics.

No matter how many Internet service you’re using, link or direct them to your main website. For example, Facebook and twitter (micro-blogging) are so common nowadays. Other than make friends, promote your products or Website through these channels is vital.

They currently has almost 1.5 million followers. Imagine just 0.1% of these followers buy their products daily, how much money they could be made?

Why need “weight” for keyword? When search engine spider crawl your website, it first look at heading tagged keyword that represent the importance and define the page accordingly for indexing purpose. Lower heading tag has higher weight. H1 is the most important in this case. People normally use it in Title or Subtitle.

Many Blogger don’t know about it. Of course it affect the website ranking too. Remember, use it along the page reasonably. But don’t overdo it.
