How to Setup Google Cloud Print?

If you have Cloud Ready Printer, the setup is very straight forward. You just need to register printer email id into Google Cloud Print.

But I believe most of us here don’t have one Google cloud print. What to do with our classic USB printer?

First, you need to install Google Chrome on both computers (a remote computer and a PC at home office that connect to printer).

In Google Chrome select: Tools > Options > Under The Hood > Sign In to Google Cloud Print 

Make sure you Sign In Google Cloud Print on both Chrome browser. Then Finish printer registration and Start use your printer remotely! ;)

With this Cloud service, basically you could print your documents to Home or Office anywhere you want, via an Internet connectivity. And most importantly it is Free!

The question suddenly come into my mind, how much space do I have after years of emailing?

I receive emails everyday. Not junk mail. They including a daily backup of each domain, subscription email, guest blog request, advertisements request and business partner. I delete non of them in case need to refer in future.

How to Check Gmail Mailbox Size?

Very easy. Login to your Gmail, scroll to the bottom you’ll see current mailbox usage. I just utilize 30% of 7.6GB space, that is about 2.2GB. Still have 5.4GB to go!

How to Cleanup Gmail?

See my Inbox has 3000+ Unread emails! That’ huge amount of emails. I can say all of them are unused except the recent WordPress backup files.

Change the view to Unread, click Show more messages. Tick on the box top on to select all latest 50 messages.

If you have more than 50 Unread messages, an extra tips bar will show on top. Click to select all 900 conversations.

In my case, it will then select all 3000+ messages after click. At last, click on Delete to remove all unwanted messages into trash.

My Two Cents

Don’t worry if you have deleted wrong messages. Restore it back from trash. Those messages in trash will automatic deleted after 30 days!

My Gmail is now Clean. How about your? ;)

Time fly faster than a rocket.

Google Japan has release the Top 10 Hot Search Keywords of the year 2011! From keyword we know this year is a really bad year for Japan.

Technology keywords are no more in top five. iPad 2 and iPhone5 rank at position 6 and 7.

All top five keywords are related to earthquake, power down issue and radiation leakage!

In fact, aftershock is happen around Japan after the earthquake till now. Imagine how much fear in such situation.

Many hope there will be better year next year. But I believe earthquake will become more frequent compare to this year till the end of the day!

Does that mean Natural Disaster keywords will become hot keywords worldwide in near future? Let’s wait and see.

It was my first time to watch such big event of Android online, like immerse into the conference hall. I won’t talk about the event, it was nearly an hour talk and demo. You can watch them online some where.

I’m curios why Facebook no buzz on this phone launching (hey it was 2 new product at once – Galaxy Nexus and Android 4), while iPhone 4S was so buzzing and rumors all over the world before the announcement! As Android user, I have to introduce this phone for you to consider.

Best Android Phone – Galaxy Nexus

Yes, it is the best Android phone yet! Latest hardware specification with powerful redesign Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

This is the first phone to include Android 4 out of the box. Motorola Droid Razr will be the next to get the update next year.

Galaxy Nexus Specification as below:

CPU: OMAP A9 Dual-core 1.2Ghz

Memory: 1GB Memory

Display: 4.65 HD Amoled

Camera: 5MP Camera with zero shutter lag, 1.3MP HD front came

Carrier: LTE technology (up to 15mbps download/upload speed!)

I was impressed by the HD Amoled screen. It support 16:9 widescreen with HD resolution, a mobile cinema on your hand.

What is Ice Cream Sandwich ?

It is newest version of Android OS that emphasize on Simplicity, Beautiful and Smart. To me Ice Cream Sandwich is more on UI enhancement. Some new features upgrade as below:

  • One OS for all devices – Design to run on smart phone and tablet.
  • Face Detection Unlock – Fancy feature to unlock screen with face on camera. But it failed during the demo.
  • Real-time voice-to-text input – Very accurate and real-time respond voice-to-text input to SMS. Weakness is must have Internet connection.

As mentioned by one Google Director, people know Android is Powerful, but not loving it yet. Yes, I have to admit after the cool Android demo I haven’t love Android yet! Maybe the physical phone outlook and UI design? I don’t know :)

PS: Samsung said the Galaxy Nexus will arrive in Asia, Europe and United States next month.

  1. Associate your Youtube account with your Google Video account
  2. Upload “Upload Videos to YouTube” option on the Google Video status page

By the way, this is not a news, Google already announced turning down of upload to Google video nearly 2 years ago.

What if you do not upload Google Video to Youtube? Nor download to your computer? Don’t worry. The team is working now to migrate all Google videos to Youtube automatically! You won’t lose your memorable videos ;)
