5 Must DOs Before Publish A Post

Suitable Tags- Suitable tags is an important task to complete before publish your post. Tag suggestion tool or the latest wordpress 2.5 can help you to accomplish this task without hassle. You might also want to use 3 keywords from your article’s important point as the tags. This is basic step to optimize your blog’s SEO.

Categories- Choose the most matching category instead of simple choose one. Readers will be easier to browse for the information they need and your blog looks neat and tidy.

Trackbacks- Trackback to those famous blog in same article will help to boost your traffics.

Insert More Tag- Don’t show whole article content at your landing page. Insert “more” tag in your content before publish. I suggest to insert the “More” tag some where near one mouse scroll length position. This make your landing page looks tidier and more professional.

Inner Links- Search for the keywords within your blog to look for suitable inner links to related post. These links help to increase page views.

After got my Adsense payment yesterday, I was so excited to buy some gadgets that I have planned to buy few months ago. I know some of you might interested to know how much i’ve earned? I won’t tell you the exact figure, but I will tell you what I bought with these pocket money.

Wish List

These are 3 gadgets in my wish list long ago. I would like to buy them with my earnings:

A new spectacles – The spectacles that Im wearing is about 3 years old. The glass become blur and not so clear. It’s time to change a new one. I prefer to get a thin frame with half curve + UV glass. I tried to search a suitable one yesterday night, but can’t get. Will check on other shops later.

FM Transmitter for iPod Touch – As I mentioned in my iPod touch review, iPod touch lack of build in speaker. To resolve this problem, Im still searching for a FM transmitter for iPod touch to broadcast my musics in cars or at home via radio frequency.

Speaker for Desktop Computer – My old speaker on desktop computer has just few watts and more than 4 years old. Some time it even cannot output sound due to its wire loose. I have found and bought a suitable speaker Sonic Gear EVO III Pro. It come with two satellite speaker and a sub-woofer. I have chosen glossy black color to match my black LG 19″ wide screen LCD monitor. I would say its sound quality is great for clarity. No driver installation needed, just plug and play.

I have showed you the way to protect files and folders with Folder Protector 5.0. Have you take action to protect your confidential files and folders? Well, its all depends on your needs. But I highly recommend you to protect them or at least encrypt those files that consisting your password, bank account, etc.

Now, there is a good news for open source supporter! An open source tool called TrueCrypt let you encrypt files and encrypt an entire partition or storage device. This mean we can encrypt our USB flash drive and hard disk. Others can’t even open or boot up the system if it is stolen. Further more, its software version available for Windows, Mac OS, and of course Linux. Yeah! it’s Free!

How Encryption Works ?

Basically it works almost the same with password locker. It use some advance algorithms bind with your password to hide or mess up your data. Without the password to decrypt, those data are useless. In this case, TrueCrypt is using 3 types of encryption algorithm AES-256, Serpent, and Twofish.

I know you have heard about the world’s largest LCD monitor and thinnest laptop. But have you ever heard about the smallest linux computer? The smallest linux computer must be Picotux.

Why say it is the smallest computer? Its size dimension only (35mm×19mm×19mm), slightly larger than a RJ45 connector. To easier for your imagination, I have combined the real photo side by side as below.

What picotux can run with its small size (even smaller than my thumb)? Inside, there is an ARM7 CPU at 55 MHz running uClinux kernel 2.4.27 and Busybox 1.0. So far, its only come with 8MB RAM and 4MB flash storage. You can use its serial or ethernet port (LAN) to program the system. It comes with webserver and telnet application.

If you noticed, there is power connector right beside the LAN port hole. It accept 110-220V power supply. With its POE (Power Over Ethernet) model, you don’t even need a separated power supply, Cool! (more…)
