10 Basics Mac OS X Keyboard Shortcut

You know, for so call advance user we don’t like to use mouse click so frequent. I used to Windows keyboard shortcut in Firefox, Windows operation, music, movie player, etc. Fast and convenient after familiarize with these shortcuts.
I am experimenting Mac OS X on Intel PC. It is hard for Windows user to use keyboard shortcut in Mac OS X. I have use computer for more than 10 years but first time in Mac OS X. All shortcuts combination I used in Windows totally not working in Mac! I am newbie in Mac.
10 Basics Mac OS Keyboard Shortcut
I did search in Google and Digg. Lots of complete list come out as result on screen. Impossible for me to memorize all.
I recompile the 10 Basics keyboard shortcuts every Mac user should know. I know these may too basic for you. Please add more in comments if you think I should know.
- CMD-C : Copy
- CMD-V : Paste
- Windows-` : Switch between same Application
- F11 - Hide all windows
- F9 - Show all windows
- F12 - Open/Close Dashboard
- CMD-H – Hide application
- CMD-Q – Quit application
- CMD-Shift-D – Open Desktop
- CMD-F – Search term in Web browser
CMD button refer to ALT key in Windows keyboard. ALT-Tab only switch between different application in Mac OS. To switch between same application, then use “Windows-`” combination. You need to define the Windows key as Option key in keyboard settings.
I always press the wrong key in Mac OS. I thought CTRL key is the CMD key during copy, paste and search. Need more time to get use to it.
PS: 200+ Mac keyboard shortcuts here. Still searching for shortcut to lock screen. Any idea?
